How can I book a tea ceremony?
Please tell us which session you would like to join:
GROUP SESSION 11am / 1pm/ 3pm/ 5pm
PRIVTE SESSION 10am/ 3pm/ 6pm
please mention if you would like to wear kimono, and write your name, number of people and nationality and send to email@example.com
We accept booking for a minimum of 2 people.
If you are booking for yourself or via your hotel, please make an online payment with credit card in advance.
If you are booking via your tour guide, we accept cash payment on spot.
Can I book a same day reservation?
We donot accept walk-in customers but you may contact us if we still have availability.
What happens if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late will limit the time for your experience as we will start our session on time, can you are not allowed to join the same session if you are late for 30 minutes.
Customers more than 45 minutes late are considered no-shows and will be charged 100% without being seen, please call us at 050-5539-3231 directly if you are being late.
How can I make changes on my reservation time?
If you want to reschedule your reservation, please notify Kyoto Samurai House at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that reservation time cannot be changed on the day.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
Cancellation on the day of the experience :100% of the experience fee
24 hours before reservation : 50% of the experience fee
Do you accept credit card?
Payment for the purchase on the day will be cash only.
We accept credit card only by online payment in advance.
Can baby or children join tea ceremony?
Children age 6~12can join the group session.
Family with children age under 6 (0~5) please take a private tea ceremony.
Can I buy Matcha and tea whisk?
Locally sourced Kyoto organic matcha and hand-crafted bamboo tea whisks are purchase.
What kind of kimono do you have?
Basically we provide traditional skill kimono and we also make some polyester simple kimono that you can wear on top of your clothes.
What time should I arrive?
We will start all the sessions and if you are arriving early you may wait here or we would suggest visiting the West Honganji temple (3 minutes walk away from us and free entrance).
What is the language for the tea ceremony?
For our experience(like Sake tasting, Ikebana etc.), explanation will be fully in English.
You can choose another language (Chinese, Cantonese, French, Italian, Spanish, etc) for the private tea ceremony, please book in advance.
Do you have a car park?
We don't have a car park. Please use the car park nearby.
